Announcing the next Virtual Pizza Reading: A. R. Gurney's THE DINING ROOM on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 6pm Eastern.
In the spirit of the season of gathering over food, this comedy of manners is set in a single dining room where 18 scenes from different households overlap and intertwine. A finalist for the 1985 Pulitzer Prize, each story in The Dining Room dovetails swiftly and smoothly into a theatrical experience of exceptional range, compassionate humor, and abundant humanity.
Usual Pizza Reading rules: all participants must read a small part. Please RSVP by Monday, Dec. 6th. I will send the script, roles, and Zoom info on the 7th. And if you'd prefer a hardcopy, this play can often be found in your local library!
